Sewer Service is included with the water and garbage service bill. The sewer rate is figured annually in January for each household and remains constant until December unless the rate is changed by resolution. The minimum monthly base rate is $16.75 plus $.015 times the cubic feet of water used based on the average monthly usage during the six winter months (October - March). In sutuations where no water is used during the winter months, a fair compensation to the city will be determined by the Municipal Finance Officer. Water and sewer base rates must continue to be paid monthly, whether the water is on or off, as long as you are connected to the city water and sewer system. |

Garbage pick-up is on Thursday, limit of two large bags or cans (no blue cans) per family. Recycling is on the first and third Thursdays. Items for recycling are: - Newspapers and magazines: Bagged or bundled, (dry and clean)
- Corrugated cardboard boxes must be empty and flattened - no food boxes (pizza, etc)
- Cans, tin and aluminum and plastics, #1 & #2 may be together, but should be in comparatively clear bags so that it is obvious that they are for recycling. Must be clean. They should also be placed somewhat apart from the garbage bags or cans.
