Bridgewater City Council Special Meeting Minutes

August 18, 2009   7:00pm 

      The City Council of the City of Bridgewater met in the Council Room for a special meeting on 08/18/09. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Mayor Barattini. Answering roll call were Bob Anderson, Mayor Barattini, George Guenthner, Phil Heiberger, Verlyn Hudson, Caron Neumann, and Ryan Watters. Others present: Finance Officer Joan Julson.

     The purpose of the meeting was to rediscuss the options concerning the municipal liquor store. After much discussion a motion was made by Neumann, seconded by Anderson for the city to run the liquor store atleast until the end of the year. Motion carried. The paper will be called to take out the ad. Motion by Anderson, second by Heiberger to address replacing the refrigerator and upright freezer, the backroom door and a vent and also to authorize the Municipal Liquor Store committee to make these decisions before the next meeting. Motion carried. Justice Fire & Safety will be called about checking the fire extinguishers in the liquor store. Also Mayor Barattini and Anderson will check on a convection oven for the liquor store.

     Motion by Heiberger, second by Neumann to adjourn. Motion carried. Time 7:50 pm.
